Thank you for your kind words! :)
...Hi, Mrs Singh! Thank you for your kind words! :)

The one that I got here in the states came manufactured and pre-packaged in Canada. They are not exactly fresh right out of the steamer; but they are freshly made and then chilled with a relatively short shelf life. And a couple minutes of steaming is all we need to get it ready for the plate.

I found a couple of manufacturers online that do distribute to the local businesses and retails in Malaysia. So I guess some markets would have them too; you may have to really ask around for the "chee cheong fun" (or they'll just call it "cheong fun" in short). I would try checking the stalls that especially sell all kinds of pre-stuffed "yong tau foo"s in the wet market. Not sure if there's one like that in Ipoh, but there's one in the main wet market back in my hometown, Kuantan.

If there's no luck in locating one, you probably can consider getting just the plain cheong fun from the chee cheong fun vendors out there. Or one last resort, you can try making some homemade ones too :)

Terima kasih back to you, and thanks again for dropping by!
kitchenchaoshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12223182760085196672noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7790883681241634201.post-15030451181962789712013-03-31T06:45:57.534-04:002013-03-31T06:45:57.534-04:00Hi, I have just discovered your Blog and its great...Hi, I have just discovered your Blog and its great! I guess a Malaysian will always miss our Malaysian Makan wherever in the world we end up! But for you to attempt every Malaysian food that you miss is really admirable of you. I guess we are lucky to have it at our doorsteps, esp as I am in Ipoh, home of great Hawker food.
But I still attempt to make food I like at home often, tastier and control of quality I feel!
Just a query on your Chee Cheong Fun, what are the fresh rice rolls that you are referring to,do you have the Chinese name for it? I only see fresh mee/kwayteow/lohsee fan at our wet markets.
Terima Kasih banyak, and regards from Ipoh, Mrs SinghAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7790883681241634201.post-60262792515588343392013-03-01T11:33:09.865-05:002013-03-01T11:33:09.865-05:00Hi Bakeling, thanks for your interest!
